It’s painful.
To choose to live a life that’s not yours.
To become someone else, for others.
Not to live with integrity.
Not to have the courage to speak out against mass atrocities.
In the last episode of the fifth season of Investigative Selfism, I’m inviting you to smash self-abandonment.
I invite you to join me in inspecting different areas of your life to see where it might be. And to realise – but to really realise – how destructive it can be for yourself and (oh, the irony) others.
I also invite you to follow my political project, The Exploding Head, on Instagram and Spotify.
Stay strong but keep your heart open ❤️

I start a new season of Investigative Selfism by sharing a metaphor with you that appeared in a form of something very domestic. I dedicate this essay to everyone whose hearts might need some compassion this end of year.

There are those with platforms who aren’t ashamed or embarrassed to speak out, even when their ideas don’t seem to agree with logic (but with arrogance and ignorance – yes). Let’s use it as a frustrating reminder not to hold our voices back.
