I Hope You’re Doing Things out of Love

I hope you’re doing things out of love.

I hope when you check yourself – when you ask what you’re about – it is love, ultimately, that you find at your core.

If it’s studying, I hope it’s because of your love for learning and empowering yourself.

If it’s having a hard conversation, I hope it’s because of your love for the relationship it addresses and how much healthier it can be.

If it’s doing political work, I hope it is because of the love for people you might not know and might never meet.

If it’s travelling to a new place, I hope it’s because of your love for humanity and this insanely beautiful planet.

If it’s taking care of yourself, I hope it’s because of your love for that inner child who might not know there’s an adult to protect and care for them them now.

If it’s speaking out against the rise of Fascism, I hope it’s because of your love for all the people it threatens (and your heart, because it does).

I hope it is never out of fear, hate, and smallness.

I hope we all find that love and talk about it shamelessly. I hope we act out of it and on it.

If you think the world doesn’t need it, look deeper ❤️

On A Different Kind of Feast

In addition to the small lies, there are definitely the big ones. This short blog posts is about one of them — or, rather, about a type of inquiry you might want to make time for this end of year.

The Fires, The Multiple Fires

“Let everything burn, except your desire to fight” – my year started with this writing that I saw in a beautiful graffiti project. It turns out, no matter how lovely this metaphor, the process itself can be quite heavy. And if your end of year doesn’t feel necessarily light, my piece is definitely for you.

Your thoughts

My name is Justina

As a political commentator who talks about different forms and systems of external oppression, I’m also interested in my own personal transformation.

In this platform, I share with you tools, frameworks, authors, and anything of value I have found to lead a life of authenticity.

Imperfectly – oh yes? And with silliness where appropriate (well, or not).
