I saw a simple piece of graffiti in Palestine over a decade ago.

It’s a quote that has stuck with me ever since.

Three years into a life-streamed genocide, I need to change that quote a bit.

This post is a crossover with The Exploding Head, my (more) political project.

As you, too, might be reflecting on the third anniversary of the genocide in Gaza, I recorded a message for you that is not any political analysis.

It is not even an attempt to provide a summary of the horrors of the extermination of life in Gaza.

“I’m not talking because every time I talk, blood comes out of my mouth and makes my dress dirty, and I don’t want my mom to have to clean it.”

– last recorded words of Hind Rajab

(How can one forget such horrors? How can one forget the mass murder of children – under our watch?)

Instead, my episode is about how we can frame these past years. It’s a reminder of what we are called to do and what the price of not responding to that call is

Now that we have seen, we are responsible.

What The World with Israel in It Looks Like – And Why It’s OK for Our Nervous Systems Not to Be OK

I hope it is something you can address with your therapists, friends, or online community at least: that if you are aware of how this world has been, your nervous system can’t be doing too well. Because how can living in such turbulent times not transform you?

On this platform, I share with you tools, frameworks, authors, and anything of value I have found to lead a life of authenticity and — an aspiration — courage.
